The tech company has shifted from using its dated search technology to implementing MSN Search throughout Microsoft.com.

A long-time joke among system administrators was that if you wanted to find something on Microsoft.com, like a product fix, you were better off searching for it with Google than with Microsoft's own onsite search.

After a lot of work on improving MSN Search, the MSN Search team worked with the team behind Microsoft.com to upgrade Microsoft's site search in December. MSN Search lead program manager Eytan Seidman posted about this at the MSN Search blog:

The result we think is a far improved search of Microsoft.com content - the satisfaction levels of Microsoft.com search are up and the number of people using search.microsoft.com also increased.

And to boot we shipped this in 58 markets and 31 languages!

Seidman noted they wish to receive feedback from MSN Search users on the Microsoft.com site. If a query still isn't pulling up the desired results, they want to know about it.
