At least two security bulletins for Windows and Office arriving next Tuesday will be designated Critical.

The Redmond-based software and game console maker will release three security updates on its customary second Tuesday of the month schedule.

Two of the security bulletins will update the Windows operating system. Microsoft says at least one of them will have a maximum security rating of Critical.

The third update will be for Microsoft's Office productivity suite of programs. This update has been rated as Critical.

There will be an updated version of the company's Malicious Software Removal Tool made available, along with a non-security related update for Office.

The three security updates will all be detectable by the Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer. Some or all of them may require a system restart.

Microsoft customarily makes these informational notices ahead of the security bulletin release date. They do so to allow administrators to plan for potential system downtime in anticipation of the updates.

Further details on the bulletins will become available when the Tuesday release date arrives.
